Our weekly service includes balancing chlorine and PH levels, skimming the pool surface, brushing the pool tile line, emptying the skimmer basket, emptying the pump basket, vacuuming the pool as needed and checking for any other maintenance issues.

Pools need to be drained and filled with new water every 2-3 years depending on use and type of pool. This is because cyanuric acid, heavy metals and other chemicals that don't get filtered out continue to build up over time and eventually can't be balanced through further chemical or filter use which is known as "dead water" and can cause chlorine lock. The only way to rebalance your water is to drain and refill the pool every few years.

If you have a green pool, it will take a lot of hard work to get it clean and clear again. The pool needs to be superchlorinated, the pool sides and bottom brushed multiple times through the course of several days to release the algae from the walls, and lastly clean the dead algae from the filter. This process usually takes at least 3-4 days but you'll be rewarded with a crystal clear pool when it's all done!

Green to Clear
If your pool is prone to algae growth even with proper water chemistry, one of the best ways to deal with it is to drain your pool and chlorine wash the plaster surface thus killing the algae spores that have become imbedded in the plaster. This is a particularly effective treatment if you have mustard algae or black algae.
